Graduated at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, Claudio Cupellini made his debut in 1999 with the direction of the short film 'Le diable au vélo'. In 2007 he shot the feature film “Lezioni di Cioccolato”, starring Luca Argentero, Violante Placido, Neri Marcorè, and distributed in Italy by Universal. In 2011 he directed “A quiet life”, starring Tony Servillo. The film was selected at the International Rome Film Festival and Tony Servillo won the Marc’Aurelio award for best actor. The film got four Silver Ribbon nominations and it has been selected in more than 20 international film festivals (including Tribeca, Miami and Singapore). The film was sold in more than 10 territories and was theatrically released in Italy and France. In 2013, the director is involved in the TV production of the bestseller “Gomorra” written by Roberto Saviano. Gomorra is co-produced by Cattleya, Sky and Fandago.
